The ballroom scene started in Atlanta in 1996 and the very first house was the house of Escade founded by the legendary Tony Escade. The first ball was also giving by Tony and the house of Escade. It has always been a connection with the pageant scene an the ballroom scene for example mothers Stasha Mugler, Raquel Balenciaga, Jasmine Milan, Godfather Booty Prodigy an father Jovan Chanel just to name a few. Tonight I want to bridge the gap between the ballroom and the pageant scene. Every contestant will be judged on three different categories which have been taken from the pageant scene. 1st formalwear (what you would wear to the Grammy's or to a benefit dinner for an elected official) 2nd swimwear (something that you would wear to the beach) 3rd self expression (your own look) there will be a point system from (5 to 10) 5 being the lowest an 10 being the highest the low and the high score will be thrown out an the rest will be added for the contestant score. This means that there will be no chops!! After the third category the top 5 finalist will be named an these will be the individuals that will battle for the $5000 face. The five finalists will now be judged on the five elements of face which consist of the nose, eyes, skin, structure and teeth. Those scores will be tabulated and the winner will be announced. Every contestant will have to sign up at the door no exceptions and the first category of the night will be formal wear. ( 10 or more must sign up an walk if not grand prize drops to $3000)
